Basic principles of burning natural soy candles
Burn the candle for a minimum of 1 hour, so that the wax could melt to the edge of the vessel. This will prevent the tunnel from forming and extend the life of the candle. This is especially important during the first burn, because with each subsequent use, the wax will melt to the point where it was first dissolved.Soybean candles should be burned at a time not longer than 3 hours in order to preserve its smell as long as possible. Excessive heating of it causes the oils contained in it to evaporate much faster. Long smoking can also cause the wick to sink, as soy wax dissolves at low temperatures and becomes fluid fairly quickly. Before lighting the candle, shorten the cotton wick to a length of about 0.5 cm. This procedure will make the candle burn with a nice, constant, non-flickering flame, and the wick itself will not crumble.Never leave a burning candle unattended. Avoid drafts. Do not carry the candle while it is burning as this may cause the wick to sink.It is equally important to store the candle when not burning it. Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight. High temperatures can deform the wax and discolor it.
